Our Adoption

The significance of Easter brings me to Ephesians 1:3-10. That through God’s grace and mercy, His plan was to adopt us into His family through His Only Son, Jesus Christ. That we who believe are His “sons” and  heirs to His throne through our adoption. What a glorious gift that has been given to us… Praise God!!

Ephesians 1: 3-10,

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One He loves. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.”

Dear Lord, we thank You for the blessings that Y0u have given us… not only for yesterday or today but for eternity. We praise You for Your ultimate plan of salvation and redemption that You have made available to all of us… that through our belief in Your Son and the Power of His Blood that was shed for us, we are adopted into “sonship” with You. I pray that You open eyes to understand what true “sonship” means and help us all to walk in the calling that You have for each of us… in Jesus’ Name.  AMEN!!
