“Religious Freedom” is an oxymoron. The two words are diametrically opposed, polar opposites, mutually exclusive.

Religion promotes bondage to rules and rituals, intolerance and judgement.

Freedom in Christ is religion’s antithesis.

Religion assumes its followers must (and long to) be told how to act, how to think, how to speak, how to dress, who to befriend, what to believe and how to pray.

Freedom in Christ affords us the liberty to seek Godly wisdom in His word to think, speak, witness, serve and pray as we submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Religion is works-oriented and promotes the notion that we must do things to gain God’s approval and acceptance.

Freedom in Christ assures us that God loves us unconditionally for who we are, not what we do.

Freedom in Christ gives us an unquenchable desire to serve others, worship, pray  and study God’s word. We love others and worship Him because we want to. Not because we believe we are obligated to. We serve and submit out of an abiding desire to honor and praise our God.
