Warriors of the Lord

Stand in triumph

Love over hatred, good over evil,

As the sun slowly sets on Earth

A victorious glow remains on all their faces

Much as the radiant blaze of the blades of their swords,

Sword of the Spirit comfortably in hand,

Harder than diamond, sharp as Light.

The soup of war thickens daily

A most bitter brew

A crude and vulgar brew

Mix of darkened lies and lustful violence

Awful blend of deceit and raw wickedness

Championed by the “Lawless One”

Carried forth by numberless lawless ones

Blood thirsty slaves of the “evil one”;

Enemies of all the good

Enemies destined for eternal fire

A bed of torment made ready for each

In the endless agony of defeat.

Soldiers of Messiah daily put on the armor of Light

Invincible army

Soldiers clothed with power and authority

Who wield weapons of warfare before unknown

Unheard of precision and deadly force

Massive blows given to the enemy’s head,

Death blows sweep the battlefield clean.

A Captain of Captains leads them

Astride a muscular white horse snorting smoke and fire

Sounds of its hooves as Heaven’s thunder

Greater than earthquakes, the entire World shakes

Every mountain brought low

Every valley brought high.

Fearless armies of warriors trample the battlefields

They charge ahead

Tear through enemy defenses

Crush the evil

Sweep aside the wicked as waste,

Gather the fragrant spoils of victory

With tears perfumed in continual prayer,

Return in joyful harvest

Carrying many armfuls of sheaves

To set before their King of Truth and Justice,

In the greatest acts of honor

And purest worship.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should. The Kingdom race of faith and Spirit awareness is moving towards the finish line. Book of Revelation is coming alive before our eyes. Read it, and then read it again. Pray for true understanding.
