As I think about our country…
this scripture comes to me.
For even it has a calling…
to be what God wants it to be.
For from our beginning…
established many years ago…
with freedom of worship…
to spread God’s Word as we know.
For there are many countries…
who have never known God or His Son.
They still worship fake gods…
like stone idols and moons or the sun.
But there is an accountability…
when we know better and still sin…
especially turning from God…
despite knowing that His blessings could end.
For God called the USA…
to shine His Light across the lands…
bringing hope and shelter to many…
with protection from God’s Hands.
For One nation, under God…
is what we were called to be.
So let’s keep praying and repenting…
for the fulfillment of God’s plan for this country.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Dear Lord, I know that You have a calling on each of our lives and have a plan for our nation. For You have plans for good, not for harm; to give us a future and a hope… and I believe that that is for our country as well as us individually. Help us all to stand up and fulfill the calling that You have on each of our lives, that we will stand up as the Body of Christ and intercede for our fellow brothers and sisters as well as this entire nation. That as we pray in intercession, we will see a mighty move of Your Hand across this world where hearts will be turned to You and knees will be bowed in worship as we call on Your Holy Name… In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
