There are few alls and almost no everys in life.
It is almost human nature for us to generalize, or put things in a box. We wear labels and tend to join the ranks with thinkers-in-common, We are Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, even Christian or non believer. It is that “belong-itis” that causes us to lose the sense of the……. in-between……….
Someone said; more often than not, the truth is somewhere in the middle. I suspect, in my case, with a background in Law, I was encouraged to listen to another viewpoint… if even just to strengthen my own case. There is also the remote possibility that I could be wrong and learn something.
There is that voice deep within us that encourages us not to be too hasty in our acceptance or rejection;
We ALL know that while we ALL (woops, I used the word) have been created in God’s image, we have no concept of our Lord’s total domain, except as it applies to us. EVERY , (there I used it again), one of us has been created equal and unique.
God has given us the freedom of choice to belong or abstain. More importantly, to do either in moderation, all under the guidance of His “do’s and do- not’s”.
If I may encourage others in this regard, it would be as follows;
Learn what others ultimately stand for before we join
Do not totally reject ideas because of perceived differences
Listen to God’s voice before putting on any badge.
Carefully develop HIS case before you argue it.
