Heartache and brokenness…
are what many have endured.
As they have been abused…
and deceptively lured.
For abusers hide their anger…
where only the victim knows.
And onlookers don’t realize…
for the abuse rarely shows.
But it is there…
with all the deceptive threats.
And their abusive ways…
lead many victims to regrets.
For many become trapped…
in these abusive situations.
For abusers know their weaknesses…
and use deceptive manipulations.
But nothing is hidden…
from God on His Throne.
Though behind closed doors…
this abuse was really known.
And He favors the broken…
and promises to restore.
So just get ready…
for God will give you even more.

Dear Lord, only You see the depth of the heartache and brokenness that victims of abuse have suffered. You see the abuses behind closed doors and the truth that has been hidden by deception and manipulations. Expose the truth. Please bring freedom from abuse to all victims with total healing of their wounds and restoration of their losses. Raise them up to be voices for those who remain voiceless… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
