This is for the many who struggle with the peer pressures of society. These worldly views hurt many.  But remember, God looks at our hearts, not our outward appearance.

So many of our youth…
are unhappy today.
They are ridiculed and bullied…
for not looking a certain way.
For society sets standards…
for beauty and body size.
But we are all different…
and this we need to realize.
No two are alike…
but one fact is clear.
We are all children of God…
and He loves us all dear.
So none should be bullied…
and be made to feel less.
For we should treat all kindly…
and not make them feel depressed.
This peer pressure is wrong…
as “peers” criticize others.
But we have to remember…
that we are all sisters and brothers.

Dear Lord, You see the multitude of Your children who are made to feel inferior to others by the pressures put on them to look a certain way or act a certain way. Deliver them from these pressures that the “world” puts on them and draw them near to You. That all will know Your Love for them and have a desire to please You, not this world. Help them to realize that You look at the heart and that is where the ultimate “beauty” lies, not by the clothes that we wear on the outside. Bring healing and restoration to all these oppressed by peer pressure… in Jesus Name. Amen.
