Teenage Identity Crisis

An Illinois school district could lose Title IX federal fundingbo ysing girls locker room because a school would not let a boy use the girls’ locker room and showers. The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights notified the school that they cannot deny a transgender student access to the girls’ changing and showering rooms, according to Title IX rules that ban sex discrimination.

“The State of Illinois violated Title IX discrimination laws by preventing a 13 year old boy from gaining ‘unrestricted’ access to the girls locker room on the grounds that he considers himself a girl,” the DOE said in a letter to the school.

And in Missouri hundreds of students protested a transgender student’s use of the girl’s locker room. The boy, who formerly professed to be gay, decided he was a girl, although he is physically a boy. He wears girls clothes and a wig, which, he believes, gives him the right to change clothes and take showers in the girls locker room.

Moms, are you ready for your girls to shower with boys?

I must admit I don’t understand the transgender “class”. What I do understand is that God determined our identity long before we did. I also understand that all the confusion and ambiguity associated with all these “gender” issues will further confuse and alienate young people who already struggle to fit into an already crumbling, degenerate society.

I also understand that no matter what “class” any of us claims, our only “true identity” is in Jesus Christ, where there is no identity crisis or confusion about our roles as men or women. Simply truth.

He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created. Hebrews 5:2
