In the last days they will ask, “Where is the promise of the coming of Christ?”

God has prepared the members of His Body for the Rapture. Hearts are ready to reach the prize of the high calling. The holy heart causes men to “look forward” to Lord of Glory when the last Trump sounds. Men of God will have no rejection, but perfect submission to the cause of Christ. Men and women of God are ready because they have repented and turned to Christ. They have escaped future Tribulation and will never perish like the world of the ungodly. God judges His Church righteous because its members are holy, pure, and without spot. They are right in the present tense and ready to be taken up to Father’s House!

Unfortunately, in this present hour – which is the prelude to the Rapture of the Church there is a predominant crowd of scoffers – who don’t care about Christ, anything, or humanity. Their love and affection has waxed cold. Their hearts are darkened with sin. Their lifestyle of rejection has taken them over. They are consumed with their own lusts, worse than in the days of Noah. As Christ said, they will be eating, drinking, and being merry. They will have blended with society. Everything will be OK, drinking booze, gambling, getting divorce, using prescription drugs to get high, the “who cares” attitude acceptable in the eyes of the ungodly. “I see this everyday.”

Holy Scriptures are clear about “us-ward” who will not perish. Us-ward are members of the body of Christ who have repented and got right with God. Their hearts are prepared to meet with Christ in the air. They will never perish but enjoy the bliss of life-everlasting. Reason? They have a holy heart because they turned to Christ from a sinful past and found it pleasing to live a right life in the eyes of God. They escaped the Judgment of God.

Peter wrote of the last days…

2 Peter 1:3-9…Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

  • Last days – There will be godless attitudes from hollow and empty men – void of God’s Holy Spirit. These men are rebellious toward the things of God.  They are cold men and without love for God or any human being.
  • Scoffers are Biblically defined as (mouthy callous men – without hope – proud – unaware – without concern about things of Christ). Scoffers are slack in realization of Christ and His calling our of the Church, and the His second coming.
  •  “Willingly” ignorant. Willfully rebellious and rebels against God and everything He stands for. They resist Biblical Truth and the importance of hearing the Gospel. Willful rejecters of Christ.  Unconscious toward spiritual things.
  • Those who perish -A world that perished is world under the Judgment of an angry God with no means of escape.  The Judgment of the flood was water in the days of Noah…The Judgment of fire in the future will be actual fire that burns up a dying earth and men of perdition (or spiritual ruin). Men of perdition are ungodly men who would not receive the love of the truth while the Church and omnipresence of the Holy Spirit was present on Earth.

About rickroehm

Since 1988 I’ve been writing and doing service for the Lord. It all began in 1987 after a personal walk began with the Lord. This personal walk with the Lord I speak of turned into extensive Bible studies and later evolved into blogging in early 2000. At present I write, author, and publish several different sites on the Internet. My Blogs contain a vast library of Theological writings, teaching videos, and preaching audios that currently go around the globe for the cause of Christ. I write at Christian Blessings on Wordpress, Holy Hubert Lindsey Group on Facebook, Churches on Trial at Google, publish You Tube videos, record sermons at holy.sermon.net, etc. I also pastor a Church called the Upper Room in Williamsburg, Ohio . My secular Blog called Southwestern Ohio Fishing on Wordpress is where I write about experiences with my son and fishing partner Chad where we together enjoy Mother Nature’s beauty mixed with Father God’s creation. At Southwestern Ohio Fishing Blog I also publish favorite recipes for those who enjoy eating and cooking as much as this writer does. Thanks for sharing your time and life with this writer at the Blogs. Here's more access to my ministry and fishing Blog if you'd care to check them out further.
