TT70: Jesus was Born in Simplicity

“For to us a child is born… and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6

I have four words to work out to in the coming year: Creativity, Frugality, Health and Simplicity. In this post, let me discuss the importance of simplicity even in the celebration of Christmas Day.

Mga importante lang talaga and binili namin for the kids. I bought them their gifts for Christmas Parties, new t-shirts and a pair of shoes for my eldest.

Pagdating ng pasko nasa work ako so other than munting salu-salo I’d just gave my family a little amount for them to travel to Laguna. As far as possible and as far as I am able, I want to give them experience other than material things. I want them to count their happy memories kasi someday, because ‘yun naman ang mahalaga eh, ‘yung childhood memories kasi binabalik-balikan ‘yan. There, they’d gathered a lot of pamasko from their Tito’s and Tita’s, umuwi silang napakasaya.

Hindi man kami magkakasama at simpleng-simple man ang aming naging pasko, hindi naman maikakailang lahat kami ay masaya. Ako, kahit nasa trabaho okay lang since for me naman laging pasko sa mga pamilyang kasama si Kristo sa bawat araw, ‘di ba?

Hindi na kailangan ang sobrang garbong handaan. The essence is always sa pagbibigayan and thankfulness. You don’t have to show-up sa selebrasyong ito, especially if tomorrow wala ka ng pera.

Let us be simple as our God does not come to us sa anyo ng karangyaan kung hindi sa kasimplehan lamang.

Merry Christmas every one and a Happy New Year!
