LB 117…Why God Allows Trials In Our Lives

Here are some quotes that can bring encouragement and healing when we go through hard times:

“The fact that we are called upon to endure trial shows that the Lord Jesus sees in us something precious which He desires to develop. If He saw in us nothing whereby He might glorify His name, He would not spend time in refining us. He does not cast worthless stones into His furnace.” (The Ministry of Healing, p. 471, by Ellen White)

“God has a purpose in sending trial to His children. He never leads them otherwise than they would choose to be led if they could see the end from the beginning and discern the glory of purpose that they are fulfilling.” (Prophets and Kings, p. 578, by Ellen White)

“God’s love for His children during the period of their severest trial is as strong and tender as in the days of their sunniest prosperity.” (The Great Controversy, p. 621, by Ellen White)

“The Saviour is by the side of His tempted and tried ones. With Him there can be no such thing as failure, loss, impossibility, or defeat.” (The Desire of Ages, pg. 490, by Ellen White)

Remember our Good King, Jesus Christ walks with us in the fires of affliction just like He walked with the three Hebrew boys when they were in the fiery furnace. Don’t let the trials keep you from being the Lightbearer that God wants you to be.

  1. Lightbearer4truth,
I liked the Ellen White quotes. They certainly encourage us in trials as God lets us know we can praise Him for choosing us as lightbearers, instead of complaining about going through trials as some would do.
