“And the LORD said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence.” Exodus 33:19
I have been traveling for the last several weeks for both work and a much needed mental rest. As usual, life has a way of grabbing you like a rag doll and shaking you up and down….and so this repast has been so good for my psyche, my soul and my body. Yesterday before I started my work day I went for my usual walk- about with the Lord.
I have to admit, I was chewing. I was talking. I was griping. I was praying…and imploring Him. Yup I was rehashing things, painful things in my past that I don’t seem to be able to let go.
As I was was wandering the beach not paying attention to the beautiful surroundings about me an/or concentrating on the dark things inside me – I stumbled across message written right in front of me.
The message was written by someone who was feeling joy in the moment…and that moment was shared with me. In the sand about 20 feet long and 2 feet high was the message written, GOD IS GOOD! That shook me up- and brought me into sharp contrast of how I was wasting my time rehashing and resonating….
Amen. God IS good. And since he is for US, you – me…who can be against?
Put emphasis on IS when you say that out loud. God IS good. And He knows that whatever trial he allows us to go through, HE is good and will use it for our good.
We frail humans must realize that if we resonate on the past, it will steal our future.
Let go and let God is not just a saying. To let go and let God is an action, a choice, a plan and a lesson on trust.
Thus says the LORD—
He who makes a way in the sea,
and a path through surging waters,
who brings out the chariots and horses,
the armies and warriors together,
to lie down and never rise again,
to be extinguished, quenched like a wick—
“Do not call to mind the former things;
pay no attention to things of old.
Behold, I am about to do something new;
even now it is coming. Do you not see it?
Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness
and streams in the desert.
So today I write to remind you and me, and to say thanks for the Message By The Sea.. GOD IS GOOD and He is always in the business of restoration in us and for us. Amen and Amen.
