What about the old days, when we were absolutely sure that bigger was better; Our visits to Major Cities, huge houses, and that yearning for a big Navigator van… or whatever, only reinforced the idea.
That wasn’t solely because we were young and sold on the idea that we must have big aspirations to succeed in life, it creeps into our thinking today as we use new measures for qualifying what really is big time.
I can’t say that I have tossed aside my old yardstick, but I have been learning to focus more upon the inches therein. In our more advanced age, we can begin to see that less can be good. Who wants a big yard, a Big Mac ( well maybe) or a big mortgage?
