Yield not to tempation
A temptation is “the desire to do something, especiallysomething wrong or unwise. (Cambridge English Disctionary)
A tempation could be temporary or permanent in consequence, it could appear anytime and anywhere. As I am forewarned to not roo yield to temptaion. I must be forarmed. It appears in different forms, and could be caused by what we see, Yielding to lust of the flesh could have effect on my family back home, yielding to what my eyes see to take someone’s property could be caught but still lead to a guilty conscience. Easy money could be illegal and lead to prosecution and punishment and shame.
In times of weakness we cannot depend on ourselves. We must turn to the Lord to resist the temptation in His strength and power for the victory over sin and condemnation.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7 ESV).
