Soldier of the cross

We have been enlisted into the Lord’s army not because we are worthy. Sin has made us unqualified, but He enlisted us by His grace and mercy by the blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:3-4
Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.

As soldiers, do not expect an easy life. It is a life of discipline, challenges and obstacles. We are to leave the world behind when on enlistment. Our mission is to please the Lord who has enlisted us.

Every day will be a “struggle” for we are fighting not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers. What will you face today? What are you facing today? Do not look to anything but only the Holy Spirit who is able to strengthen you victoriously in this warfare. Keep marching on for Jesus even on your expatriate assignment – at the office, in a home, even in the marketplace. The enemy seeks whom he will devour. However, for the soldiers of the Lord , He has given us His name that saves, and at which every knee shall bow, His blood that protects, His armour that keeps us from hurt, with grace and mercies and blessings each new day. Accept Him and all He has provided us. Receive His peace, love and joy in spite of hardships . Praise the Lord.

I am not alone in this battle of life -the Commander is with me and knows me by name.
