Usually related to children, temper tantrums may apply in the home or workplace where adults who never grew up display such behaviour. A temper tantrum is an unplanned outburst of anger and frustration. A tantrum can be a physical or verbal outburst, or both, and can involve such things as acting out, being disruptive, and displaying undesirable behaviors because the child needs or wants something.
How do you handle temper tantrums? Stay calm, ignore it, praise the child for calming down, acknowledge and help the child understand and label the emotions, teach the child to handle the emotions and be a good example yourself.
When adults have temper tantrums, especially the boss or the supervisors, what do you do? Pray. What if you are the one who throws tantrums ? You need to learn to manage your anger and ask the Lord to help you have self-control.
James 1: 19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
May the Lord help me remember to call on Your Name for help, when I am tempted to lose self-control,
