Fear NOT

So many parents are filled with fear that their children will be infected with COVID-19 when school reopended even though many schools in asian countries have reopened without much effect on school-children. Our attitudes drive our actions. The fearful will feel depressed and want to withdraw to home=schooling although it may affect their abilitiy to go to work and it will be difficult for children to learn where parents or IT resources are not available. So too spiritually, we may be fraught with many fears and what happens? We begin to doubt, to fall sick, be impatient with everyone around and finding fault with the government, teachers and everything within reach. In a comment to a parent on CNN I wrote – you have a right to remain in fear, so backup into your cave and enjoy! I do not think you would not want to live in fear, I won’t. Here is encouragement to those who live in fear if you live under the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 91:1-16
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”…He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.  You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.  A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you…For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways…“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.  He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him…”
