Ephesians 4: 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Ambushed! you started this lovely morning with a song in your heart and a skip in your step . Then suddenly someone dashed across the road and you nearly knocked him down, giving you a real shock. You are glad that no one was injured and you could be on your way… but…something is smouldering inside of you …. you were ambused to get angry! will it spoil your whole day or will you get over it? It is your choice. You may be angry but sin not – forgive and move on. Some anger however against someone who has wronged you at work may linger and you are tempted to carry it over to the next day. But hold it! the Word says, do not let the sun go down upon your wrath. Settle by nightfall or you will be robbed of sleep, peace and you will wake up in a bad mood and some bitternesss. If allowed to fester, that unforgiving spirit is sin. Do we not say to the Father “forgive us our debts as as we forgive our debtors”?
