Distancing and masking

Both distancing and masking practices with COVID-19 are keeping us separate from each other. It is unnatural to be masked previously used by those who did not want to be identified or perhaps for religious reasons by the muslims. We appreciate the whole face rather than half a face so our communications can be true – are you happy? are you angry? are you feeling hurt? We need to adjust accordingly in response. Distancing is also unnatural when hugs and kisses, and handshakes and patting on the back for encouragement are no longer practiced.

The Lord wants us to draw near to Him and He will draw near to us. Those who have sins in their lives or have become distracted in their love for the Lord are asked not to stay away from Him but to make right with Him. Let us not remain distanced from the Lord. We do not know what fellowship and blessings we miss by staying afar.

James 4:8, KJV: “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
