President Trump was disappointed and humbled by his unexpected defeat in the recent 2020 USA Presidential elections. Humble pies are not tasty and are disgraceful. However, humility has to be learnt by all who are proud, who think of themselves more highly than others. Once the lesson is learnt, it will be the Lord who will be lifter of the humbled’s head. It may be painful, shameful and even ever so discouraging. Exceptionally great humbling has led to suicide depending on the status and position of a person and the impact on the character, possessions and valued relationship. Depression if not overcome usually leads to suicide.

However, with God there is a second chance by His grace and mercy. There is also hope that when the time of suffering is over, the best is yet to come. The Lord became the Lifter of his head, and his second chance brought him success way above what he was and had in the past.

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Job 42:12So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, …

Psalm 3:3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory [and my honor], and the One who lifts my head.
