Who is your role model?

We cannot see God and many adopt godlyy men and women as their spiritiual role models. Lately, we have read or heard of great men who have fallen from grace and into disrepute because they are humans and they fail.

1 Corinthians 11:1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

The point Paul highlights here to note is our role model MUST follow Christ and we should follow in those aspects. Let us not blindly follow a man for his great works and teaching. We need follow models whose words and walk are congruent. We should follow only that which is consistenet with the Bible and not opposing or twisted interpretations of the Word. Our full loyalty must be to the Lord Jesus Christ and founded on the Word of God. Our human role models will disappoint us and if they should fail we should not give up our faith. We will not fail if our faith is founded on Jesus Christ our Solid Rock and His Word. Your role models may be international speakers, your pastors, cell group leaders, supervisors, employers, even your parents and peers.

Remember it is human to err. Only Jesus Christ is the perfect role for you and me.
