Our anchor in storms of life
Do you have an anchor in your life? The anchor in the life of the believer is the Word of God.
What is your storm today? There will always be storms.
God gets our attention through heartaches, persecution, suffering. God wants to show up sin in our life. He wants us to surrender somethng in our lives because He has something better for us. He wants us to conform us to His likeness, and equip us for His purpose to serve Him.
A storm can destroy or develop you depending on your respnse to God. God wants you to emerge stronger from the storms.
Storms are imevitable, our anchor is immovable. There is a promise in the Word of God that will match every storm you go through.
1 Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me,
for in you I take refuge.
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings
until the disaster has passed.
2 I cry out to God Most High,
to God, who vindicates me.
3 He sends from heaven and saves me,
rebuking those who hotly pursue me—[c]
God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.
