We all do not delight in bad news. This morning my church Life Group member lost her husband who was 96 years old. I also was informed that my home helper’s 27 year old brother in Myanmar is in a touch and go state, having returned home from hospital his condition was hopeless and in need of oxygen (not covid-19 but kidney and other organs failure).
How does one accept “bad news”? My friend the widow wept bitterly as her husband had rejected the Lord. The 27 year old was active in the Lord but had mixed with bad company and became a rebel.
What can loved ones do? My helper’s mother in Myanmar advised her six children that they will leave the young man in God’s hand. If the Lord gives him a second chance to live, they will accept it although it could be a heavy financial burden for live-long medical treatment. unless the Lord miraculously heals him If the Lord takes him home, may it be after he has made his peace with the Lord.
After prayer I shared a song
Perhaps you need to be reminded that God understands and cares whatever situation you are in today. The Lord comfort and give you peace.
