Psalm 121:1-2, 8
I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes
from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. . . . The LORD shall preserve your
going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

“My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Did you catch that? The Father God, the Alpha and Omega, the Great I AM is the source of your help. No better source of help exists anywhere.

Think of times in your life when there was no help anywhere you turned. Remember the times when you sought help from sources that just didn’t provide any help at all. People disappointed you. The solutions you tried came up empty. You felt alone. At times it seemed even that God had retreated from you.

The psalmist says to fix your gaze on the majestic horizon. What you’ve been aching for all along lies there. Matthew 6:33 issues the perfect reminder: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.” With your focus and trust directed heavenward, everything—yes, every single thing—will fall into place.

Do you need help with a wayward child or spouse? The Creator has a plan. Do you feel powerless in a situation at work or in the community? Your Abba Father knows it and He’s got your back. Financial issues? God promises to meet your needs. As today’s verse indicates, He will watch over your comings and goings and will be there to protect you. Lift your eyes to the high places today; your help is now cresting the summit.
